Haitus

Hey everyone—
Apologies for the long gap between posts. I've been working like a fiend on several new projects (a book idea being among them, which I'll be looking to get your feedback on at some point) and I've had next to no time to sit down at my computer to write. Know that I appreciate your comments, wish I could reply to them all, and hope to find a consistent medium through which I can continue to share my insider observations about the casting process. I know that this blog is up and down, hit or miss, not as consistent as it could be.

I have a cautionary tale to tell you about a good actress who came in and did absolutely everything wrong in the audition room.

Thanks for your patience. I'm off to do a seminar on the east coast (sitting in an airport as I type this) where I've heard spring is in full bloom. Nice.

  1. Lucky you! Winter setting in here in Perth. So glad to have you back.

I know it's awful but I'm dying to hear about the audition! Can't wait.

  2. I took my 2 Daughters to your East Coast Seminar today in DC at noon. Enjoyed your story and the girls enjoyed the audition. Thank you for coming to the area. Although we get to LA, it is nice for them to have a chance to get in front of someone like you out here. We are spending some time in LA soon, hope to audition for you again in the future.

  3. I'm a student at YFA and I heard you were there yesterday. I was hoping to meet you but unfortunately I didn't because I had to get ready for my showcase. Hopefully in the future we'll be able to meet and maybe I can get the chance to audition for you.

  5. Dear Mr Joseph Middleton,

I am seventeen years old and live in London. I am an English citizen and am involved in a lot of acting such as school theatre productions, Stagecoach training (from the age of five) and I have done six years of LAMDA training.

I am now to the point of searching everywhere for casting calls and auditions I can attend but they all seem to be in the USA. I am writing in hopes if there is a better way for me to contact you in regards of casting calls in hopes that a charcater brief may match my description and I could send you my resume and headshot?

Many thanks in advance and I want to take this oppurtunity to thank you for the incredible advice you give on this blog. Thank you.

    Jessica Cooper
